Several photos of stern of vessel showing installation of Fleming Windvane. 
Note that upper attachment is by means of a horizontal plate bolted on each 
side of the backing plate of the backstay and gusset. See photo of internal
backing plate in lazarette.

Dave’s comments on the Fleming 501:
> We have found the 501 very easy to use and set - it encourages sound sail
> setting, which when achieved, means we hold a very steady course.  It was
> particularly useful on a two person trip down the East coast of the North
> Island where winds ranged from 5 to 35 knots.  As crew we were able do all
> the odds and sods while the yacht looked after itself.
