Here is a picture of my boat with the LED system that I've came up with, The bow lights are mounted under the TRI Lens radar Reflector. Its mounted at the spreader level. I have a small one as well in the cockpit as seen in the pic. total amp draw is 3.75 Others on my dock have converted to this system and are quite happy as its a win win deal, save power and you can see everything... There's one on each spreader, each has 3 LED'S in them. They are attached fore and aft on the spreader, with the mounting base there 4" long by 1 1/2 wide so they easily fit our spreaders. There mounted about 18" from the mast and tilted outward a bit to get the light spread where you want it. There called TIR 3 lighting systems for emergency vehicles. I have the same one on my radar mast aft of the cockpit which lights it up very nicely. There is another source that are made outside the states called Wacker, I don't recall off hand if they have the same lumes as the TIR 3's but I couldn't tell the difference. Looks like they copied them with the exception of the diffuser (lens). There about half as much as the TIR 3's. at $40.00 for the Wackers that is, last time I purchased any. The mounting hardware is extra, again I don't recall what I paid but it wasn't much compared to having to fabricate. As I stated before, the bow light is separate in that its mounted on the bottom of the Tri-Lens, you have to get a small piece of aluminum to fit beneath the bracket as an attachment point for the (2) that are mounted forward. And I might add that the angle of the Tri_Lens mount is just right to reach all the way to the bow. This does take a little fabing in that you have to bend 2 90's to fit inside of the bottom of the Tri-Lens mount nothing major, use a vice and a hammer, works fine if need be. I took it to a sheet metal place and had them put the bends in for $5.00, drill with 3/8" and pop rivet and its ready for mounting the lights. Two other friends of mine have done the same and are happy to have the system as it works very well. In addition, I also added from Sailors Soultions, the Key Fob Wireless Remote, when on anchor or mooring its easy to turn on all the lights on or in the boat before you even board, that's nice, many thanks to them for providing us with this little essential.
