These are some photos of my first attempt at a solar panel install. This mounting system allows a wide range of angles for the panels. Solar Panel 1 Shot from dockside. The 85 watt panel is mounted on a curved stainless rod that is inserted into a PVC tube. The PVC tube is mounted to a stanchion by stainless hose clamps. The panel can rotate about two axis. The far end rests on the end of the cap rail. The panel can be easily removed and stowed below. Solar Panel 2 Same panel from different angle Solar Panel 3 The back of the panel showing the mounting to the rod. There are two light weight white plastic clamps and one black Magma BBQ clamp. The Magma clamp does all of the work. My neighbors boat is in the background. He is now down south. Solar Panel 4 Right now bungee cords hold the thing in stowed position. I plan to do something stonger later. I put some fender stuff on the bottom corner to keep it from scratching the teak. Solar Panel 5 This shows the panel swung out and tilted
