Tayana 37 ph #581 01/02/03 (Im headed to Taiwan next week and will post more pics after that trip.) The boat was ordered in October of 2002 and will be delivered in January of 2003. It is hull number 581 (despite rumors of there being more than 600 of them. If Ican find someplace with a large enough scanner to scan the builder's drawings, I'll post them, too. I started with the plans for an earlier boat (now for sale in Richmond CA) and made very few modifications to the interior layout. A few of the more significant changes from earlier boats are: 1. Position of inside steering wheel moved aft so its easier to reach. 2. Pilot house seating adjusted for my height (6'1") 3. Forward bunk move toward port (instead of vee berth) so its easier to get in and out of. 4. Seatee shortened a little to allow room for a separate stand-up shower off the head. 5. Electrical Panel moved to main cabin. 6. seat on starboard side of main cabin eliminated. Hanging locker, entertainment center locker, and wet locker installed in its place. 7. 56 HP yanmar 8. ss rail from pilot house aft (instead of ss cable life lines). 9. Radar arch being added. 10. Outside steering whitlock, inside steering hydraulic 11. Boat is being shipped with ice box top removable. Ice box will be completed here using Glacier Bay superinsulation. 12. Selden deck stepped mast, Profurl on both head sails. Standard full batten main.
